How to Read Statement

 

Notes

1. Main Card Number

This is your primary card number. Transaction details on your additional card accounts will be printed after the primary card transaction details.

2. Card Type

This describes your Credit Card type, indicating Visa card or MasterCard.

3. Statement Date

This signifies the statement generation date. All transactions received and posted until this date from the previous statement date will appear in this statement.

4. Payment Due Date

To keep your account current and to maintain a good credit card record, do ensure that your payment is received by us before this date. Please allow up to 3 working days if you are making payments at locations other than branches of HSBC.

5. Current Minimum Payment Due

This is the minimum amount payable for this statement. The minimum payment is a pre-determined percentage of the outstanding balance.

6. Statement Closing Balance

This is the total balance outstanding as of the statement date. This lists the transaction amount against each payment, purchase, cash advance or credit. All foreign currency transactions will automatically be converted to Indonesian Rupiah.

7. Rewards Points Summary:

This section summarizes the rewards points earned and redeemed by you.

8. Posting Date

This shows the date on which transaction was posted to your card account.

9. Transaction Date

This shows the date of transaction, that is, the date on which the purchase or cash advance was made.

10. Transaction Details

This section provides details of all payments, purchases, cash advances, and credits made during the statement period.

11. Amount

This lists the transaction amount against each payment, purchase, cash advance or credit. All foreign currency transactions will automatically be converted to Indonesian Rupiah.

12. Amount Summary

This section summarizes your account activity for this statement period. It details the opening balance of this statement, any payments made and debits during the statement period.

13. Statement Closing Balance

This is the total balance outstanding as of the statement date.

14. Past Due / Overlimit Due

This reflects your last statement’s minimum payment due and any overlimit amount. If payment has not been made, this amount is due immediately on receipt of statement. How to Read Statement

15. Credit Limit

This is the limit for your credit card account and covers both the primary card and any additional cards.

16. Cash Advance Limit

This is the limit to withdraw cash from your credit card every month.

17. Total Minimum Payment Due

This signifies the total minimum amount due in this statement. In addition to the current minimum payment due, it includes any overdue and/or overlimit amounts.

18. Interest Charges on Cash Advance

A finance charge as stated will be levied on cash advances from the date the cash advance is posted to the Card Account until it is fully paid.

19. Interest Charges on Purchase

A finance charge as stated will be levied to your account if you do not pay the full amount on the payment due date or your payment is received after the payment due date. The finance charge is calculated from the transaction date of each new transaction plus the total amount of your previous balance.

20. Payment Point

Please use the payment slip when making payment by cheque. Indicate the amount paid and cheque number for our reference. Likewise, do not forget to write your card number with the corresponding payment amount on the back of your cheque.

21. Change of Mailing Address

Notify us immediately of any changes in your billing address or telephone number by filling in your new address in the coupon on the reverse of the statement.
