Mandatory Usage of PIN for Domestic EDC Transaction with ATM and/or Debit Card

Dear Valued Customer,

Referring to Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No. 17/52/DKSP regarding the Implementation of National Standard of Chip Technology and Use of 6 (six) Digit Online Personal Identification Number (PIN) for ATM Card and/or Debit Card Issued in Indonesia, please be reminded that the use of 6 (six) Digit Online PIN is mandatory for all domestic EDC transactions using HSBC ATM Card and/or Debit Magnetic Card. HSBC ATM Card and/or Debit Chip Card may use either the 6 (six) Digit Online PIN or signature. Even so, for Customer's safety, we strongly advise Customers to keep using a 6 (six) Digit Online PIN for all EDC transactions using HSBC ATM/Debit Chip Card.
