Security tips

HSBC have always been committed to secure your banking transactions with the latest and multiple security protections that is available in your HSBC ATM card and in the HSBC ATM machines.

Your HSBC ATM card and all of the HSBC ATM machines have been equipped with "anti skimming device" that is able to protect you from any unauthorized transactions such as identity and information theft, fraudulent use of your card and many others, when used in HSBC ATMs.

On top of that, all HSBC ATMs are also equipped with a 24-hours security camera and the locations are patrolled regularly by our security officers.

To protect you more, here are some tips that might be useful for you:
  1. Keep you HSBC ATM card in a safe place and put your signature on the authorized signature panel located on the backside of the card, immediately upon receipt.
  2. Never disclose your PIN number to anyone and avoid to write it down.
  3. Regularly change your ATM PIN number with combinations that can not be easily guessed.
  4. Use different PIN number for each ATM card (if you have more than 1 ATM card).
  5. Pay attention to your surroundings before, during and after you perform ATM transactions.
  6. Cover the keypad when you enter your PIN.
  7. Secure your ATM slip and regularly check your balance.
  8. Immediately call 24-hour HSBC Phone Banking services if you find any suspicious banking transactions.

ATM Bersama transaction is FREE for the first 30 transactions per month for all HSBC account holders. Additional transactions will be charged IDR 5,000 per transaction.

  • Step 2 : Select “Transfer” or “Transfer to other Bank”
