Chip Credit Card
We understand your need for convenience and security in all your credit card transactions. That’s why we are proud to present the new look of our credit card, featuring an embedded chip.

A chip credit card has a magnetic strip on the front, with a microchip embedded in it. The microchip ensures that every transaction you make is completely secure, because it stores all personal data, and protects you from unauthorized use of your card.

Why should I use Chip Credit Card?

Chip technology has become the new standard in credit card security worldwide. It is widely used for transactions because of its proven ability to reduce the losses suffered by credit card users as a result of card falsification, because all personal data is protected and stored securely in the chip, making the card very difficult to replicate.

What is more, your chip credit card is accepted by many merchants worldwide, so you don’t need to worry about using it, wherever in the world you happen to be.

How do I obtain Chip Credit Card?

You will automatically receive a chip card as a new approved Visa and MasterCard credit card holder. If currently you're still using magnetic card, your card will be replaced with a chip card when it expires. But don’t worry, as long as your magnetic card is still valid you can still be able to use it as usual.

FAQ

Can I continue to use my magnetic stripe card before they are replaced with chip?

Yes, your magnetic card is still valid, and you can use it as usual since both chip cards and magnetic stripe cards are accepted in the market.

Can I choose to keep my magnetic card, and not change over to a chip card?

When your magnetic card expires, you will automatically receive a chip card. Magnetic cards will not longer be issued.

Can I use my chip card overseas?
Yes, your chip card is accepted worldwide. You can make transactions whether you are at home or abroad.

What happens if the store I visit cannot yet accept chip cards?
Not all EDC machines are chip-enabled. A merchant with a chip-enabled EDC machine simply inserts your credit card into the machine. A merchant without a chip-enabled EDC machine will process the transaction in the normal way, by swiping your credit card in the machine.

Why do some merchants still insert my chip card into the EDC after swiping it in the normal way?.
Some merchants still swipe your credit card in the EDC out of habit. However, with a chip card, the EDC will flash a message to the cashier asking him or her to insert the card in the EDC.

Can the PIN on my magnetic card still be used with my chip card?
Yes. You can use your old PIN for ATM and Phone Banking transactions.

Do transactions take longer when paying with a chip card?
The EDC needs time to seek authorization, so sometimes the process takes a bit longer than when you pay with a magnetic card.

How do I know if my chip card is not working properly?
If the cashier inserts your card into the EDC and the transaction is rejected, meaning you have to swipe the card, and this happens very often, you will know that there is something wrong with your card.

What should I do if my chip card is lost or damaged?
