Public transport in Singapore is extremely efficient, reliable and affordable. The most-used transportation services are: Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rapid Transport (LRT), bus, and taxi. For efficient transportation, consider buying an ez-link card, which is valid for travel on the MRT, LRT and bus network. This card can be obtained at several outlets such as 7-Eleven stores and larger petrol stations

The bus network extends throughout Singapore. Fares range between SGD 0.70 and SGD 1.70 depending on the length
of your journey

Taxi
There are more than 15,000 comfortable air-conditioned taxis in Singapore, operating along all main thoroughfares and charging reasonable rates. They can be called 24 hours a day on most streets, and there are dedicated taxi ranks outside most major shopping centres and hotels

Driving
To drive in Singapore, you will need a driver’s license valid for your country of residence, and an international driving license valid for Singapore
